Resolution Thoughts

I've always thought that New Year's Resolutions were an ill advised idea... I mean frankly unless you are completely driven person who can accomplish your goals anyhow you'll never keep a resolution.
Today I was struck with a new thought....I realized that resolutions are in fact another way in which we humans decide what we want and try to, "make it happen".  That stopped me completely as I saw that this is completely out of order in the way God does business.   

I was challenged to instead write a list of "things" that I would believe God expectantly for in 2011.  So tonight the girls and I sat together and made our lists... It was an incredibly joyful way to start the new year.  I am excited, as I know that God can do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think.  We've each tucked our lists in the bottom of our sock drawers, we'll be checking back at the end of the year with the opportunity to recount the goodness of the Lord.
